Sona Desai
is the Food Hub Manager and has led the development of the enterprise since inception in 2007. She manages the CSA program and overall business communications, outreach and growth. On a day to day basis, she coordinates production and purchasing with farmers and logistics with chefs and wholesale buyers. Sona has an extensive background in farming, food marketing and small business management and is committed to developing new and sustainable markets for Vermont farmers. Sona also serves on the Board of Directors of  the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT). She lives in Burlington and enjoys spending her free time playing records, cooking, paddling, cross-country skiing and hiking with her dog, Lucy. Brianna Farver has been the Food Hub Coordinator since 2010. She manages the relationships with CSA host sites and members and coordinates day to day Food Hub operations. She also coordinates the Intervale Center's gleaning and food security initiatives. She has a background of farming, education and community outreach and is committed to making fresh, local food accessible to everyone in our community. In her spare time, Brianna loves to play music, cook, play in the woods, garden and spend time with her cattle dog, Rhuby, and her husband.
