Welcome to the Food Hub CSA!

Community Supported Agriculture is a mutual commitment between local farmers and community members. CSA members provide a stable market and fair compensation for farmers. In return, farmers provide CSA members with a weekly share of the harvest during the local growing season. This relationship symbolizes a shared commitment to building a more local and equitable food system, one that enhances farm viability, land stewardship and community engagement.

The Food Hub is a multi-farm CSA that offers a large selection of year-round shares, including vegetable, fruit and berry, meat, egg, cheese, yogurt, pesto, maple syrup and bread. Shares are available for spring (March-May), summer (June-October), winter (November-February) and student (September-May) seasons. We provide year-round delivery to local businesses, schools and residential neighborhoods. We accept a variety of payment options including check, credit card and EBT. To learn more about our EBT payment option click here and view our flyer.

If you are interested in becoming a delivery location or would like more information on being a host site, click here and read our partnering business info sheet.

The Food Hub is committed to making fresh, local food accessible to all members of our community. We partially subsidize shares to low-income individuals and families, and accept EBT. We also participate in NOFA Vermont's Farm Share program. If you are interested in participating in Farm Share, read the program description and complete the application form or contact us with any questions.

To join the Food Hub, simply review our CSA policy below, choose a share season - spring, summer, winter or student - and click on "Sign up now."

**We encourage every consumer to explore all of the CSA farms, farmstands and farmers' markets in our region before purchasing shares with us. We are lucky to have so many amazing farmers and markets for local food!

CSA policy

In order for you to gain the most from your Food Hub CSA experience, please read the following policy carefully as it outlines the guidelines that keep our program running smoothly for all of our members. Members are responsible for having read our policies prior to joining the CSA.

We strive to provide the highest quality product.

The food you will receive in your share will be of the highest quality and will be locally grown. All of our producers are either certified organic or use sustainable farming practices. We ask that members let us know if they have any concerns about the quality of our product. We value member feedback and use it to improve the work we do.

We provide 100% traceability of product. Each product that you receive in your share will be listed in the share contents of our e-newsletter followed by the farm name who grew or supplied that product.

Members are responsible for picking up their weekly share of food from their chosen distribution location during the designated time frame. Members who do not pick up their share within the distribution time frame will not be refunded or credited for their lost share.

If you are out of town and cannot pick up your weekly share, it is your responsibility to choose one of the following options:

  • Make arrangements to have a friend pick up your share.
  • Make an arrangement with Food Hub staff to pick up at another time.
  • Choose to donate your share. Shares will be donated on behalf of the Intervale Center to local social service agencies.

Members are responsible for contacting the CSA coordinator at least two days prior to their delivery day to communicate any distribution changes.

CSA shares will be packed and distributed in reusable baskets. Members are responsible for understanding our basket system and returning their basket on time.

Each member will be supplied with two baskets. Baskets will be labeled with the member's name, delivery location and share types. Members must only take a basket if it has their name on it. Members must return their empty basket to their designated pick up location prior to the following week's delivery time. Empty baskets will be collected by our distribution crew when they are out on their delivery route. Members will be charged $5 every week that they do not return their basket. Shares will be packed in labeled green canvas bags if a member does not return their basket.

Members are welcome and encouraged to bring their own bag and transfer their share contents and simply leave their basket at the pick up location.

Members are responsible for making payments in a timely manner.

If a member is more than 30 days overdue with a payment, the Food Hub maintains the right to withhold that members share.

Members understand that it is their responsibility to open and read all emails (including payment notices) from the Food Hub so that they stay informed.

Email is our primary form of communication with our members. Important communications including changes in the delivery schedule along with our regular newsletter with recipes and storage tips all occur through email. We ask that you keep us informed if your email address changes.
