This week we have a special sweet treat in our Omnivore Package and Localvore Package - goats' milk caramel from Fat Toad Farm.

Fat Toad Farm started in 2007 as a family experiment with just one sweet goat named Jupiter. The co-owners, Steve Reid (shown at left), Judith Irving, and Calley Hastings, have continued to grow their business and their delicious caramel flavor varieties ever since. 

Now, their herd of 75 goats have joined the larger herd that lives at Ayer Brook Goat Dairy, which is run by Vermont Creamery. Vermont Creamery supplies the goat milk for this delicious hand-stirred caramel.
