One Birdhouse gourd from Bear Roots Farm in Williamstown, Vermont! Not edible; use as decor or crafts! Certified Organic.

Want to make a birdhouse? You'll need to dry your gourd first, here's how: Birdhouse gourds dry best indoors in a dark, well ventilated room. An attic would be more than ideal! Basement, not so much due to dampness. Good air circulation is key! If in proper setting, the outer skin of the gourd will be dry and hard in just a few weeks. The insides will take longer; roughly 6 months! Flash forward and your gourd will be completely dry when the skin is light tan in color, very lightweight and you can hear the seeds rattling when you shake it!
