Farmhouse CheesesNew Haven, VT
Orb Weaver Farm sits on one hundred acres in the Champlain Valley, the rocky top of Camel's Hump Mountain visible towards the east. Patchwork fields bordered by hedgerows, dotted with Jersey cows, bales of hay waiting to be picked up, a green tractor tilling the earth. Straight garden rows planted with lettuce, swiss chard, tomatoes, peppers, flowers. This is Orb Weaver Farm, the farm Marjorie Susman and Marian Pollack built with their hands for over thirty years.
In 2018, Marjorie and Marian transferred their creamery and cheese operation to Kate Turcotte and Zack Munzer. Zack is the primary cow guy, while Kate is the cheese gal. They are the second generation of Orb Weaver Farm, working to continue the legacy of Vermont's original farmhouse cheese. Farmhouse cheese is chese that's made with 100% milk from their own cows.
