Homemade Ice Cream

Ice cream is simple and doesn't require a machine. This is excellent served on top of apple pie.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 ½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 16 or 32oz wide-mouth jar
METHOD
- Combine all ingredients in a 16oz or 32 oz wide mouth jar.
- Screw on lid tightly and shake for about 5 minutes, or until cream thickens into a batter-like consistency and doubles in volume.
- Freeze for 3+ hours and enjoy!
